I was born in Biel in 1995 and grew up as a productive teenager. My interest in art developed as a child when I discovered my fascination for colours. I started to draw figures and abstract characters and then lost myself in the bold letters of graffiti at the age of twelve. At the age of 18 I created my first painting under the pseudonym ˋReksˋ. The spraycan is clearly my most commonly used medium to create large scale and full colour paintings by simultaneously using different media - such as acrylic paint, oil paint, airbrush, felt-tip pens, charcoal, watercolour etc. on smaller surfaces. I increasingly try to mix everything together to create new combinations. The urge to bring a letter to life, to make a word dance or to give expression to an empty wall. I am equally fascinated by three-dimensionality, the interplay of light and shadow and the contrasts between clean and dirty.
